Alex has been practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai since he was 4 years old, under the tutelage of his Coach and father - Professor/Kru Yai Danny Fung.

A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor for the last 4 years, Alex has represented Team Experience in a few dozen tournaments, over 87 matches, acquiring dozens of gold medals and trophies. Oh…and the doctors had told us he may never be able to walk, due to a Neuromuscular condition. This is where his nickname “The Prodigy” stems from.

The beginning of his quest for gold began at the age of 4, when he put on his first tiny Gi. Years of hard work and determination enabled his progression and before we knew it, he was finishing strong in tournaments, winning gold medals in both Gi and No-Gi.

On December 21st, 2017, Alex earned his Orange/White Belt from his dad, Professor Danny Fung.

On September 29th, 2018, Alex earned the honorable rank of Poo Choi Kru (Assistant Instructor), directly from the Muay Thai Officials of the Sports Authority of Thailand. At age 10, he’s the youngest in the world to ever have received this honor!

A dedicated athlete, he's always ready to further his Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai journey and embraces his time growing in these two beautiful arts. A forever gift passed on by his dad and Coach.

Alex is pursuing his dream of taking his experience to an international level, while continuing his father's legacy in teaching the arts of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai by sharing his passion and knowledge with others.

He also offers private classes in both Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. These hour-long sessions are tailored for each student's improvement and are perfect for a belt exam preparation.

Alex may be little but he’s an amazing Assistant Instructor and competitor! Expect nothing less, he's his father's Prodigy ♡
