Furthermore, our group classes are conducted with utmost concern for safety and all students are required to treat each other respectfully regardless of skill level, age, gender or race.

Commonly known as the science of the 8 limbs, Muay Thai (aka Thai Boxing) is a stand-up combat sport which uses punches, kicks, elbows, and knees as its main offensive weapons, along with a variety of clinching techniques. Muay Thai is one of the most efficient and notorious striking martial arts in the world and its effectiveness is why it's the most common striking art in the vastly popular, fastest growing sport of mixed martial arts (MMA). The beauty of Muay Thai is that, although it is primarily a fighting sport, we've come to recognize its effectiveness for both fitness and self-defense.
To this day, one of the biggest misinterpretations of Muay Thai is that it's just a combat sport but it also cultivates important values that are rooted in rich tradition. It has the power to humble, discipline and inspire, which is arguably the most important aspect of any martial art. It instills in its practitioners many great attributes including confidence, humility and a warrior spirit. The art of Muay Thai strengthens your mind and body, builds confidence and promotes discipline. These qualities will no doubt help you unleash your greatest potential in all areas of life.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling-based martial art which focuses primarily on controlling a resisting opponent in ways to force him to submit. Incorporating the Gi (Kimono), BJJ involves taking down the opponent, and using techniques centered around the skill of potentially submitting them through the application of joint locks and chokes. It is also one of the fastest-growing martial arts, because of its great success in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Due to the fact that control is generally easier on the ground than in a standing position, the BJJ practitioner will generally focus his intentions on getting into a position which will force his opponent or attacker to submit via submission, rendering a finish to a fight or altercation, rather quickly.
MOST EFFECTIVE SELF-DEFENSE IN EXISTENCE
BJJ has proven to be the most practical and effective self-defense system in the world as it relies on leverage and technique, rather than size and strength. This allows a person to defend themselves against much larger and stronger attackers. As a result, BJJ is a great sport for everyone – most importantly for women and children. One in four women will be a victim of sexual assault in their lifetime. What makes jiu-jitsu perfect for women is that it effectively addressed what to do when a fight goes to the ground and if there's one thing we know for sure is that the attacker will do everything in his power to get you there. At the end of the day, we know that victory is getting home safely. Our program teaches you how to neutralize the assault, escape if possible and if an escape isn't possible, how to incapacitate the attacker with a choke or a joint lock. Self-defense begins with the belief that you are worth defending and the techniques you'll learn at Experience can one day save your life.
A CONFIDENT CHILD IS A BULLYPROOF CHILD.
64% of children become victims of bullying - often suffering in silence.
Our Experience Kids Program helps children develop skills to enhance their confidence, learn self-control and better identify and respond to bullying by teaching them effective, non-violent self-defense techniques so they can stay safe. It is also a great way for them to stay active, make new friends, and have fun while they learn invaluable life skills. We teach kids how to persevere on the mats so they can persevere in life by instilling a hard work ethic, a positive attitude, and a love of martial arts. Classes provide character development and confidence building in a safe, inclusive and conducive learning environment for kids 5-13.
The focus of each class is to improve your child's overall health and fitness, and help them develop self-confidence, focus, discipline, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, , patience, social skills and dedication. At Experience, the principles of hard work and perseverance is always reinforced.
The physical fitness aspects of our program also prevent kids from lapsing into the sedentary lifestyles associated with the incessant watching of YouTube, Netflix and playing video games. Classes include physical drills, games, techniques, and live training, which enables children to elevate their muscle memory and reflex development. Practice makes progress and every situation is a learning opportunity.

MEET THE PRODIGY
AKA The Hardest Worker In The Room.
Alex is a Junior Owner, Asst. Instructor of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Poo Choi Kru in Muay Thai. He's been practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai since he was 4 years old, under the tutelage of his Coach and father - Professor/Kru Yai Danny Fung.
A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor for the last 6 years, Alex has represented Team Experience in a few dozen tournaments, over 100 matches, acquiring dozens of gold medals and trophies.
He beat the odds as the doctors had told us he may never be able to walk, due to a Neuromuscular condition. Also born with a rare blood disorder that would give anyone reason to rest, Alex uses that as a driving force to train harder. This is where his nickname “The Prodigy” stems from.
The beginning of his quest for gold began at the age of 4, when he put on his first tiny Gi. Years of hard work and determination enabled his progression and before we knew it, he was finishing strong in tournaments, winning gold medals in both Gi and NoGi.
In December 2019, Alex earned his Orange belt from his dad, Professor Danny Fung.
On September 29th, 2018, Alex, who was only 10 years old, earned the honorable rank of Poo Choi Kru (Assistant Instructor), directly from the Muay Thai Officials of the Sports Authority of Thailand. He’s the youngest in the world to ever have received this honor.
