AKA The Hardest Worker In The Room.

Alex is a Junior Owner, Asst. Instructor of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Poo Choi Kru in Muay Thai. He's been practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai since he was 4 years old, under the tutelage of his Coach and father - Professor/Kru Yai Danny Fung.

A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor for the last 6 years, Alex has represented Team Experience in a few dozen tournaments, over 100 matches, acquiring dozens of gold medals and trophies. He beat the odds as the doctors had told us he may never be able to walk, due to a Neuromuscular condition. Also born with a rare blood disorder that would give anyone reason to rest, Alex uses that as a driving force to train harder. This is where his nickname “The Prodigy” stems from.

The beginning of his quest for gold began at the age of 4, when he put on his first tiny Gi. Years of hard work and determination enabled his progression and before we knew it, he was finishing strong in tournaments, winning gold medals in both Gi and NoGi.

In December 2019, Alex earned his Orange belt from his dad, Professor Danny Fung.

On September 29th, 2018, Alex earned the honorable rank of Poo Choi Kru (Assistant Instructor), directly from the Muay Thai Officials of the Sports Authority of Thailand. At age 10, he’s the youngest in the world to ever have received this honor.

A dedicated athlete, he's always ready to further his Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai journey and embraces his time growing in these two beautiful arts. A forever gift passed on by his dad and Coach.

Alex is pursuing his dream of taking his experience to an international level, one day competing at the most reputable Mixed Martial Arts platform - the UFC, while continuing his father's legacy in teaching the arts of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai by sharing his passion and knowledge with others.

Alex also offers private classes in both Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. These hour-long sessions are tailored for each student's improvement and are perfect for a belt or short exam preparation. In his quest for excellence, Alex is a daily source of inspiration for both kids and adults alike, as he's on the mat every single kids and adults class. Training alongside Alex will motivate you to dig deep and level up.

Alex may still be little but he’s an amazing Assistant Instructor and competitor. Expect nothing less, he's his father's Prodigy!
